More Help with Child Care Costs Now Available |
|
Saturday, 03 May 2008 |
|
Are you working, but still struggling to pay for child care? Couldn't afford the provider you really wanted so you settled for someone you're not as comfortable with? Trying to make ends meet? Even if you've not been able to qualify for a child care subsidy before, take another look! There have been a number of changes in the Employment Related Day Care program (ERDC) and you may be able to qualify now! Or, if you qualified before but felt it was too much hassle for too little money, take another look! Reimbursement rates have gone up, co-pays have gone down. Things have changed!!! For example: Income limits have increased: - A family of 2 can have income up to $2,159 and still be able to get help.
- A family of 3 can have income up to $2,714 and still be able to get help.
Not only that, but also: - Copay amounts have gone down.
- AND the amounts paid to child care providers have gone up.
This means the part you pay for child care could be less than in the past. It's worth checking into, it's money in your pocket! To find out more about the NEW Employment Related Day Care program, contact your local DHS office or call your local Child Care Resource and Referral Agency (CCR&R) today. What are you waiting for? |
